Concrete Densifiers
Concrete densifiers are chemical hardeners which are applied to concrete floors and substrates. They are designed to help reduce dusting and help make the surface less permeable to unwanted liquids.
Densil+ Lithium
Why use Densil+ Lithium?
Densil+ Lithium is a VOC-free lithium silicate concrete densifier, designed to treat concrete walls and floors to increase the nominal service life of the concrete and reduce ongoing floor maintenance costs. Densil+ Lithium is usually used during the grinding and polishing process of architectural concrete to produce a terrazzo-like floor finish. The application of Densil+ Lithium will dramatically increase the abrasion
E-Seal Potassium Densifier
What is E-Seal Potassium Densifier?
E-SEAL is a penetrating solution that permanently fuses within porous substrates of concrete, brick, stone, and mortar to significantly increase surface strength, combat freeze/thaw damage, and limits penetration of stains and damaging impurities such as oil, gas, grease, and salt.
Chemi-Hardener
Why use Chemi-Hardener?
Chemi-Hardener is a deep penetrating silicate liquid hardener, for dust-proofing powdery or friable concrete and masonry surfaces. Hardens and dustproof new or old concrete, floors, walls, concrete blocks or stonework.
Lithiseal Plus
What is Lithiseal+?
Lithiseal+ is an environmentally friendly, lithium stabilised colloidal silica intended for use in treating concrete. Lithiseal+ helps to increase the density and hardness of concrete surfaces. Lithiseal+ produces a dense surface with improved wear resistance, reduced dusting, and the prevention of cracking from an alkali-silica reaction. Penetrates deeper and reacts faster than standard lithium silicates.
What are the different concrete densifiers?
The three main concrete densifiers available are sodium silicate, potassium silicate and lithium silicate. All three of them contain the common mineral silicate which is the main element that is required to produce the chemical reaction within the cement. The sodium, potassium and lithium are the chemical elements which are used to transport the silicate molecule into the concrete. The differences between the three are the molecular size and a number of silicate molecules that they can transport. The lithium is the most reactive of the three because the lithium ion is larger than the sodium ion which means it can stabilize more silica in a liquid form.
